Aww cute love triangle pic =p. Also Honoka isn't that much different I mean she almost ruined everything by pretending she wasn't sick and collapsing after their performance, forcing μ's to drop out of the rankings and then quit the group she formed because Kotori was leaving but to each their own.

Why won't it work? From what I've read You likes both Chika and, to a lesser degree, Riko. Chika likes both You and Riko, so this should work out.
