One thing I wonder is why do some representations of Reisen (like this one) have little bolts / rivets at the base of her ears like they are metal? I mean she isn't an android so it seems odd.

^I've read two interpretations of that, one of which is that they are fake ears for whatever reason. Usually it's for comedic purposes like here, though I saw a particularly dark take on that where Reisen was tortured in a war while she was still on the moon and had her original ears ripped out.

A more likely explanation is that they are just badges or earrings for moon rabbits.

^ Thanks for that - the 2nd explanation seems the best - I will think of them as ear studs that are just worn at the very base of her ears then :)

It's hard to not see them as attachments or something - but It's fairly rare they are drawn that way.

Yeah, they're real. Silent Sinner in Blue shows that all warrior moon rabbits have those buttons and frumpy ears.
