In korean fandom at least there's been a niche but dedicated fandom for them since the MEKA team was first revealed, maybe in 2018? i'm sure they are very happy DvaMon is now mainstream lol

late on the ship, but this is a doodle found inside D.Mon's mech (not at all visible in normal gameplay) and I'm also kinda insane about them now:
