I love my boy Robert, but that one hand squeeze these two had in the good ending had more chemistry than any of the scenes with him.

^^ I always find it funny artists and creators always says that they want to make their MC the best proxy for the audience to identify with and that usually mean making the blandest, most generic and boring character possible rather than someone cool, interesting and good looking.
Kinda says a lot what they think of their audience, I guess. XD

I've also hypothesized for a long time that authors frequently can't write compelling romance MCs of a gender they're not attracted to. (Understandable, tbh.) That at least tracks with het romances usually having one lead with the personality of plain table water. (And yes, I'm going there: this means cishet males can write compelling yuri, just like how cishet women can write good yaoi.)
Anyway, back to Dispatch: all Credits with creative decision making power go to men (unless a "Lead Producer" is more than glorified middle-manglement). Yet I don't know enough about the company structure to tell how much of an effect this may have had.

^Yeah but they make it super (ha ha get it) obvious that they're both into you, and like I said as a player you don't even have the option to romance any of the other guys, and THAT right there is an issue
