I think Maki pairs best with a straightforward, physical type to contrast her reserved side.

Well, either of them are good matches I think. And unlike Nico, I can see them being in a long-term relationship.

^I'd like to think that much of the reason NicoMaki is so popular is the idea that they can grow past their tsundere selves and help each other mature as their characters, although the real reason is probably that people just like them being tsundere with each other.
I still don't understand why people have to complain about ships they don't like, though...

I don't have anything against NicoMaki per se, although it seems more like "high school relationship" to me a lot more than "lifelong partnership" despite how good Crystal Sugar And Machine Gun was. These two or MakiRin, it seems clearer to me how their relationship would develop as they grow up and move on to adulthood.

Well, I admit to being a bit annoyed at the "Where's Nico" or "NOTP" or whatever being posted in pretty much everything pairing Maki with not-Nico. But my liking of HonoMaki or RinMaki is a bit more than just being contrary.

^It's the worst, especially when what they are complaining doesn't get half the amount of work their preferred gets. If you're so adamant against a pairing, shut up and ignore it.
It has made me unable to stomach anything NicoMaki because of how annoying the fans are.

I must say, I can see this pairing happening more than NicoMaki. I shouldn't use far-fetched but HonoMaki is a closer constellation, only that the other is the favorite pair of stars. Hmmm... I wonder if I analogized that clearly.

I was into NicoMaki then I saw these HonoMaki's and switched ships. But I dont go to every NicoMaki pic and complain about it not being my ship.
It's really annoying when someone does that, and there is someone on like...50% of the HonoMaki pics in here.
If you don't like the ship, then go away. Grrr....

Yep, that is something I have mentioned about sticking an apparent ship and constantly arguing around a character with another character, like NicoMaki, as much as I don't have anything against it but, I'm tired of that.
