One reason I ship UmiMaki is that they get along so well, considering they work together as the group's songwriters all the time, And I believe they must understand each other's thoughts and feelings quite well in order to perfectly blend music and lyrics like that.

^ This is something I love when it comes to pairings, the justification for why the relationship would work. Both the circumstances that fit within canon and how they relate to each other within their character's limits, it's all satisfying stuff.

^Any ship can be justified with enough extrapolation and rationalization. It's the bedrock upon which Touhou rests, after all.
...although I'm still upset that no one has shipped Aya X Utsuho.
