I remember them getting kidnapped at the same time at some point late-ish in the game, but do they ever interact?

these two have never have much interaction from the original FFVII. at least that I know of because I've play the old game version with a friend when I was interested with some of the Final Fantasy series. Yuffie was an optional character that you can include either early on in the game, during, or later.

@nio_neka I only played the original and the last time would have been around 2005-ish. My memory of the game is hazy at best.
