^That's a very summarized version but there's a lot more to everything than that. I will say season 2 was not as tightly written as 1 and the narrative got spread thin partly due to cast size, but I still believe the series as a whole is worth watching.

Adding some extra context to Galeblue's response though, and heavy spoilers for the series here. Jinx kills Cait's mother at the end of season 1, and Vi at the start of season 2 says that she'll help Cait take down Jinx. For context Jinx is Vi's sister. So at the end of the day Vi can't take out Jinx due to still being family, and Cait filled with anger over her mother's death goes her own way leaving Vi behind. Vi becomes depressed and sinks her self into booze and pit fighting. Ambessa who is a general and leader from Noxus sees the weakness in Cait and uses that to whisper in Cait's ear, filling the hole in Cait with her mother being gone Ambessa use's Cait's weakness against her and steers Cait onto the path of a dictator. Various things happen, including Cait hooking up with another officer woman. Eventually Cait has a falling out with Ambessa and returns to her old self, correcting course, and the woman that Cait hooked up with was working for Ambessa so she's also gone from the picture. At the end of the day Cait and Vi get back together, they even have sex before the end fight and become a stable couple afterwards. The narrative is messy and not entirely the best handled, but I don't think it ruins Cait and Vi like some of the internet thinks. The characters are flawed and complicated, if the narrative was handled better and the plot wasn't so stretched thin with other plots such as the Jayce and Viktor one I think the series would have been very good all around. For me the series ends up being good, flawed, but again still worth a watch.

great summary. tbh it's really "not so bad" just kinda rushed... but i'm a big Vi stand and really feel like they did her dirty. she is who suffers the most in season 2 and the least developed character. so i was (and really still) very pissed that they hurt my baby so much

^Thanks and season 2 is definitely rushed, I fully agree with that. There's so many different plot elements shoved in there and so many character narratives. I think it's hard to say who exactly is the least developed character, Vi definitely suffers in that regard, but I think pretty much everyone suffered at the end of the day because there was just no time to really flesh out any of the characters as much they needed to be. Naming a couple of others, Cait's narrative conclusion is rushed, Ekko needed a lot more fleshing out in general. It's an interesting series but unfortunately season 2 really tried to do way too much.

Wow, some wild comments because of a fan art, will just say to Midnight, Arcane its one of the best animated series I've seen in a long time, and to this day, couldn't get over how good it was, don't listen to people that judge based on X, Y or Z, personal bias, the show is critically acclaimed for a reason, do yourself a favor, and watch the series like a year from now, with an open mind, no expectations, when you forget this whole spoiler thing.
Incredible show.
The only crime committed is that it ended.

^Neither me or GaleBlue said the series was terrible only that season 2 had issues with rushing in our opinion. Also Midnightgunner asked for things to be explained, neither of us are trying to make Midnightgunner avoid the series. I even said the series is worth watching. Anyway, from what I've seen season 1 is very widely praised and critically acclaimed, which I agree with, however season 2 from what I've seen is very divisive, and I have mixed opinions on season 2 myself. If you love the series and think it's a flawless masterpiece that's fine, I'm not here to change your mind. I have my views and you have yours, both are valid.
