Is this image gonna trigger another mile long shitstorm in the comments again?
On another note, is this series actually not as awful as everything about it makes it sound? Cause the premise sounds both stupid and repulsive to me tbh, but I've heard lots of people say good things about it and that's made me morbidly curious.

^The series really isn't that offensive, and it has actual comedy unlike other "romantic" "comedies" (I dislike the anime/manga usage of that term because what they actually mean is softcore, idk why those got conflated).
@GrimSmiles Donkey Kong means unbanned. Last time a fanart of this series got posted, Yuri purists got really mad and started harrassing anyone who liked the series (even though To Love-Ru and other het-only series were already on the site). They were really going off about bi people too iirc.
This is only the second fanart of the series on the site and it's been a while after the first one.

^^From what I hear from people whose opinions I trust, it sounds like it was written by someone frustrated by the failures and shittiness of harem manga who wanted to make something genuinely loving and sweet. It's not something I'm interested in but it does seem to be a genuinely good manga, with good romance.

Well the series being stupid so to speak is part of the point I think. It's a very self aware harem that's very intentionally playing around with a lot of tropes and leaning into a lot of absurdist comedy, it feels like it's made by someone that got tired of most harems not actually being an actual harem so they went I'll do it myself with 100 girlfriends.
A lot of the heart comes from the fact that Rentaro (the male MC) is an actually extremely diligent boyfriend, and it's one of the primary reasons why the series is maybe the only het harem I don't hate. He'll do things like borrow the book one girlfriend uses to communicate via pointing out words and sentences in the book, and he scans the whole book into a text to speech program he puts on her phone, making it much easier for her to communicate since the phone is smaller and easier to use, plus the words are now spoken aloud so she can basically talk. It's that level of care for each girlfriend, which to my knowledge is unheard of with harems.
On top of really embracing the comedy part of being a rom-com, such as having the harem enter an eating competition where they all have to work together in order to defeat someone that's using some ridiculous costume and machine to cheat. Also the whole reason they enter the eating competition to begin with is because all of the girls want to get to know and bond with the new girl that loves eating. Which is a factor throughout as well, where the harem really bonds and cares for each member of the harem.
The series is not for everyone of course, and I understand if people don't like it, I just think the author made a rom-com harem where they really put in effort into both romance and comedy.

^^^It wasn't just "yuri purists", I for one was little annoyed how Karane and Hikari "incidents" are played less as "girls can be bisexual" and more as "oh these two girls kissing? It's nothing serious, just a joke" kind of way. I really don't like "I [did something] to other girl just because I was drunk/drugged/hallucinating etc." trope. I dislike it when they did it in Honkai Impact 3 with Himeko and I dislike it here. It's not awful how these can be sometimes, but it's far from best examples of bisexuality in media. Still better than "bisexuals will fuck anything that moves" that sometimes happen.

^Yeah I definitely agree that the bisexual element can and should be better in the series. These two are always making out and it's very clear that there's something between them as well, so I wish the author would just embrace it.

^^ Does futanari count? I mean, in general I have no problem with it (although when it gets ridiculously grotesque with the genitalia I find it distasteful) but I have seen some people here express rather negative sentiment toward it. I much prefer the "Omegaverse" type stuff.

I mean, for me at least, futanaris can still be counted as "girls", since it's "femine body" with attachment. So Yuri would count.
While "futanari" term can be murky tho since how futanaris are depicted is evolving overtime, it's always woman just other details differ.

I'd recommend starting a new forum post for the futa topic, since it can get very involved and there's a lot of different views and opinions on the subject. That way it'll be a smoother conversation for people wanting to discuss it, especially since right now it'll be an easy switch over before the conversation becomes more involved, and if mods come in to remind people to stay on topic with the art the conversation would need to get moved anyways.

Another 100 Girlfriends post made it on here(and apparently also a third one)? Crazy. I had no idea it’d been banned, though I suppose that’s not too surprising seeing how the comment inspection on the last one went.
The series definitely isn’t for everyone(and I definitely have my own gripes with how it handles the obvious romantic attraction some of the girls have for each other), but here’s to hoping the reception remains relatively positive going forward.

Imo the interactions between the girls— Hakarane specifically— doesn’t come off as a joke. They def have tension between them two + one of the GFs reads yuri. Literally in canon yuri, clearly stated, “a mature romance office story between two women” I think was the wording?
And it was brought up again by another GF tryna open her world up to yuri. Like, there’s NO WAY this is just bait or a joke. There’s an actual chance for some sort of dialogue between the two

There’s no denying the romantic and sexual tension that exist between some of the girls, I’m just hoping that said tension gets directly addressed at some point instead of being sidestepped or framed as a comedic moment.
The day Hakari and Karane get a heartfelt chance to confess to and/or kiss each other is the day I’ll be happy to give this series props in that regard. Until then…at least it’s better than the cheap and meaningless yuri fanservice other harem series are usually more inclined to have.

Hakari and Karane kiss occasionally, but Nano and Shizuka have this dynamic that's somehow just a Class S manga from approximately 2008
