Flirting with the cute fire girl and smooching her is more important than winning games I'd argue

Hoyo can dab in Yuri and Yuri fanservice, but they will never make an official artwork that can imply any girl cam be "stolen" from male MC.

^^^ Censorship is a pain, but ZZZ has some of the best subtext in Hoyo currently, there's almost always something about Burnice when you're with Pulchra. Heck, in one of her events she gets quite jealous at the mere thought of Burnice visiting a place that has "thiren themed" lap dances.

^Censorship is a one thing, but Hoyo always was using Yuri as more of eye candy and fanservice than serious thing in their games even before they caught the eye of an Chinese censorship. I mean Sakura isn't mentioned once in a story proper, even when we got all that story of Otto and Kallen. Bronya's and Seele's relationship also reverted to "sisters" even before Genshin brought them to light. Early mangas and story were yurish because they had Himejoshi as an writer (and rogue localizers - Siegfried never called Kiana lesbian in original version), but later they get rid of her and tone it down greatly. And don't get me with that one god-awful Herscherr in GGZ manga.
There is also that one interview, lost to time, where DaWei asked about relationships between character told that they are friends, and we're envisioned as "waifus" for players akin to dating-sim.
They also don't want to repeat bunny girls incident. If that get someone mad, think what they would do if any girl was "stolen" from male MC, by other girl no less.

^Which wildly still isn't as bad as some issues games have run into in recent times. Games without any male characters or later included male characters run into a whole issue of people flipping out because they're so waifu possessive that they think another male character existing is NTR, even if it's just a guy on the side of the road buying a coffee the fanbase bursts into flames. From what I've been reading about Snowbreak's fandom the player base is completely insane in many regards like that, and they hate women so much that they don't even want real women cosplaying their precious waifus. It's really weird and disturbed.
It's also interesting to me in contrast with some gacha games such as FGO, which of course has it's problems including a lot of fandom issues and so fourth, but the game has married characters (both female and male) lol

Yeah, maybe it sounded like that but Hoyo games and their fandoms are bad in some regards, but aren't the worst. They do have probably only knows case of someone trying to kill company CEO, but they aren't Blue Archive players that cause widespread "acceptance" of lolicons in anime community and this shitty crying emoji spam, GFL2 players who "canceled" the game because they felt cucked or, like you said, Snowbreaker fandom as a whole. FGO community looks pretty chill, outside of standard for games with self-insert MC special cases are drama-free, at least when it comes to character themselves.
Probably because politics, but Korean-made gacha (and even non-gacha) games tend to coalescent the worst of the worst.

Dunno, honkpact outright deleted male version of part 2 MC. and it's written in story and deliberately deleted. and during the launch, if you previously picked (or swapped to) male MC you can't swap back until later version, and in future story version you're locked as female MC. and one of in-story justification is they don't like having male MC anyway.
that is to say... well, maybe it's written for male consumption. But everyone can eat them, including women.
