I recently learned that this game temporarily set the Korean mobile game scene on fire.

^ To be fair, in order to set the Korean mobile scene on fire you just need pinches fingers this much.

You don't even have to pinch fingers, someone needs to delude themselves you do.

though the company that makes this game did not help by enthousiastically throwing fuel on the fire by happily agreeing to do what the firestarters wanted.

Vellmori left Project Moon of her own accord because she didn't want to endure harassment. They gave her severance and encouraged her to let her contract expire rather than resigning because it would look better on her resume. It's extremely tiring to see this old hearsay of Project Moon being this horrendous sexist cesspit still get spread around English fandom when the content has nothing to do with it.
I promise you I followed the korean side of the story, pretty much everything you've just said is pure speculation, and in accordance with other accounts of company mismanagement can hardly be taken as anywhere near true.
also allow me to clarify, i'm not saying everyone working there is evil, but from everything that has come out about Project Moon since this happened, it's pretty clear that the managerial class of the company with its CEO leading, are complete incompetent bastards who were at happy to cut off Vellmori because they'd rather not have to do the work of protecting her.
