tbh, if you read it from right to left (that is, the three panels at the right first) you get an also cute alternate story with Diana expecting a kiss but Akko teasing her with it.

It's one OVA 26-minutes episode (with another to be released soon due to popularity and thanks to an successful kickstarter), with an nicely contained little story and very good animation, there is basically nothing stopping you from watching it.
