^ Strike Witches don't question it! I think the logic is that they need to be ready for combat at all times and they can't use the strikers with pants
Edit: I came back to drool some more and I noticed I didn't answer the ears question: Dominica has eagle ears not sure which species...Jane's familiar is a dalmatian.

Thank you Rye. and that is very logical Just got confused when there was a doujinshi where when they were getting dressed they took off their pants.
Ahh I see, I could tell tht Jane is a dalmatian but I never would have guessed eagle! kinda though it looked like donkey ears.
