^ Even in the anime they share some scenes together, but you can appreciate their relationship better in the manga, specially in Mental Out spin-off. Misaki thinks Kuroko could be a great asset to her clique because her teleport ability is very useful, and also she wants to get closer to her to annoy Mikoto. We know Kuroko is in love with Mikoto, and Misaki is in love with Touma, but I really like this ship.

^Thanks for the info. Been a long time since I saw the anime so I'd forgotten they interacted there. I prefer Misaka x Misaki but this is cute too

^^^^ more info: Mental Out is the sequel to Astral Buddy. Definitely recommend reading that. There’s lots of misaki x kuroko interactions, which warrant the ship. In addition, “Misaki is in love with Touma,” doesn’t do Misaki justice. Misaki is more on the polyamorous side. Aside from the fact that her clique is a freaking yuri harem, she loves Junko. And Junko is in love with Misaki (which can be found in Astral Buddy). I used to prefer Misaka x Misaki too, but Misaki x Junko won me over
just my opinion: the het in the Certain magical index + spin offs feels very forced. Kuroko is the only openly gay one, but most of the characters and even side characters are hella gay. It feels like a case of sedgwick’s triangle, where the girls “love” touma, but actually love each other lol

I like Junko a lot so I could definitely see Junko x Misaki becoming my favorite ship too.

^^^ of course, me saying "Misaki is in love with Touma" was more like a complain on my part, I don't really like the ship, and I think her being in love with him just makes her miserable, but can't say much because spoilers. The whole het in Index is indeed very forced, the fact that he has 2000 girls in his harem is ridiculous considering the Misaka network are clones of just one girl. I think Junko is pretty gay too and is in love with Misaki, you could even say Ruiko and Uiharu are quite gay too, but Kuroko is the most honest one with her feelings lol
