This author even takes time to blur Kano and Mahiru and makes Mei UHD, like camera changing focus, lmao.

This made me go watch the show to see if it was gay. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that yes, it's pretty damn gay (but at the end of the day it's a music anime, not a romance one).

^Yeah that should make us temper our expectations, but...alas you surely know we yuri fans are hopeless romantics. No way their relationship doesn't get touched on a bit more. Mei's situation is a bit awkward though...

^I think with how some of the main characters aren't musicians the series leans into being a coming of age character drama, a bit more than a music series to some extent. So I'm still hopeful that the various romantic elements we've been seeing will bear fruit. I generally know to not get my hopes up too high, however I'm still hoping for the best haha
Edit: With Mei I'm not very worried honestly, I feel that she largely views Kano as her oshi. She's a super fan and her fan behavior is played up for humor, but I think she'll be fine as long as Kano is happy.

^You're not the first I've seen say Mei won't be an issue because it's "oshi love". I understand what that is on an intellectual level but I just can't empathize with the "loving your oshi" thing at all.
If my memory is correct, there was at least one time where it seemed Mei was devastated because she thought Kano might have a lover. And I know there's been a fanart on here with Mei being zoomed in on as her soul leaves her body after witnessing a kiss between Kano and Mahiru. But I'll still defer to yours and others' judgement about the whole "loving your oshi" thing since it's a feeling that doesn't compute for me.

^Yeah we'll have to see how it goes, I could be wrong of course but from my experiences with oshi culture it feels at least like they're playing into that. Where the story's end goal relationship is Kano and Mahiru, and at least it seems that Mei has grown close to everyone in the group so she would be okay with her friends dating. Who knows though, maybe it'll get crazy at the end and everything goes off the rails lmao
