I love that despite their difference in size and Arlecchino's assertiveness there's still a gentle feeling here

I still would like something like a canon couple tag. It would definitely help me find anime series that would satisfy my yuri sweet tooth.

^That would be a great tag to have, especially since it’ll help prevent ppl from picking up a series/game thinking the shipped chars are canon or have good chemistry together
For example, this ship will never be canon, and there’s no dynamic here (unless you like victim x killer ships) cuz Furina is terrified of Arlecchino, because the woman tried to kill her
I feel like if there was a canon couple tag, it’d be filled with mostly Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, and even that, I’m pretty sure is subtext, or doesn’t touch on romance much at all. I do know the two girls get married but it’s off screen I believe.

^With Genshin Arlecchino could have killed her, but didn't think it was necessary if I remember correctly. Plus a lot of the shipping I see is making a narrative where they fix their relationship, and there's plenty of artists that go for a more wholesome spin on their dynamic. Like even this art imo. Though it's not canon, I just don't think the ship is exclusively a victim x killer ship. I wouldn't enjoy the ship if it was.
With GWitch it's definitely not subtext. Marriage is an important part of the plot and series overall since the start. Plus there's various character interactions and dialogue that further the relationship. With regards to spoilers, The marriage is off screen, but we see them with rings, acting like wives, Suletta's sister refers to Miorine as her sister in law. The director also went on record later to say they are married. I strongly believe that calling Gwitch subtext is a complete disservice to the characters, the story, and the relationship.

I think that a canon tag would lead to many arguments, I don't know if it's a good idea

^Honestly I was thinking that as well. What relationships count as canon is already something that gets a lot of debate.

It would lead to a lot of arguments but to be honest, my usual take on fanarts is "non-canon until I know otherwise". Which is not fun. I'm not sure if it's a good idea but it's definitely an appealing idea to have this tag available.
Re : GWitch is a good example of why the tag would be problematic, they are obviously canon but when their own studio can come and say their relationship is "up for interpretation", how can we expect an Internet forum to agree on what is and isn't canon ? Genshin also has several couples that are heavily hinted but not outright confirmed. So yup. Dumb idea. Still going to miss it.

@FluffyCow I’m glad to know it’s GW subtext, I wasn’t sure cuz I heard that the marriage bein off screen was an act of censorship or something, but I could be remembering it wrong.
With the Genshin thing, I’d personally never be able to truly get into the ship, cuz imo Furina deserves better lol

@Bielna With Gwitch the anime studio didn't say that, a bad exec at Bandai (their producer) said that. Which didn't actually matter because as I said previously the director of the anime later said they're married. So it's very canon, unless you want to let a random homophobe that didn't actually work on the anime tell you it isn't. Plus regardless of what anyone says it's clear that they're married at the end of the series, and no meddling can change that.
@Donkey Kong Yeah I think the creators were hit with some restrictions, as is per usual with media in general unfortunately. However as I said before the whole marriage element is very important to the series overall and their relationship, along with the story the creators were going for, and also the fact that the director confirmed it at the end of the day. So even with the restrictions the fact that we have a Gundam series with a canonically married lesbian protagonist is huge.
