No. There will be a book or something that will give "closure" to the plot. Since they said they'll still release the stuff they said they would. But any talks about anyone else getting their fingers on RWBY rights is just coping at the present.

^^^ Preferably one that goes somewhere in the first three volumes rather than seven.

They did say that Warner is selling the rights to RWBY, Red vs Blue, and Gen:LOCK. I wouldn't really call it coping as depending on if Warner is reasonable with the price or not, there is definitely a possibility of someone picking up RWBY.

RT addressed some things on a stream on March 7th, summed up they're still looking for partners to produce more RWBY content especially volume 10 just under WB's supervision basically because WB is also looking to sell the IP to another comapny. One studio has come forward about wanting to buy the IP off of WB to produce more RWBY content with that studio being Dillon Goo Studios who has worked with Monty in the past for volumes 1-3. That's all I remember at the moment and DGS is most likely going to be the one buying the IP. There will not be a reboot of any means just more of the original show if DGS manages to buy them, they have also stated they will bring most of CRWBY back on to work on the show which means there is still hope.

If they manage to sell it, maybe a competent writing team can take over :V

DC does not have the rights to Rwby they both are owned by the same parent company that's why they can do crossover comics/movies. i hope whoever buys the Ip continues the series but with new writers/director as miles and kerry planned a lot of stuff in advance with monty but they could not execute it properly without him as there was alot of stuff that fell flat or seasons that had alot of unnesary episodes.
So i hope miles and carry and give out the the layout and plans monty had but new people take charge of the directing and writing while keeping the VAs.
