You can assume one of two things out of this comic: Either using monsters as chairs is common in Albion (the school-city where Katalina and Vira studied together), or Vira pulled this so often that Katalina isn't even impressed anymore
And in case you're wondering why there are monsters in the city: they purposely let monsters enter the city as extra training for the students. It's a knight school.
