^ ^^ You mean to tell me that Misa should have been with someone who actually cared for her, instead of a psychopathic and murderous maniac with a god complex?
Noooooooo, that can't be true

Death Note is quintessentially yuri.

It's always a bit disturbing how often people will watch a show about literal criminals (or worse) and still decide they hate the female characters more.

^I don't think anybody here is saying that at least? I'm only seeing people that wish she made better relationship choices

^Not here obviously, but I see a lot of Death Note fans in the wild hating on Misa despite Light being, well, Light lol

I mean. Misa is not a well-written character

Well Death Note from what I've encountered has a fairly significant amount of weird vocal fans. So I think it's less an issue of how well written Misa is, and more so that there's some really weird guys that treat Light like some kind of "chad/alpha/sigma" that they aspire to be. Light definitely attracts weird incel types, and I think that's more so the bigger issue.

"Character literally created to be a villain or at least unlikeable but ends up being seen as the good guy instead" is a weirdly common thing, especially if it's a male character
Think Patrick Bateman

Light was the main character and was written to be charismatic. Misa was written as an annoying hanger-on. Liking Light more than her was the intended reaction. The misogyny is in the text

I can't really disagree with that Hylarn, though I don't think it nullifies my point that Light attracts a lot of incels, and their unfortunate engagement. Both of our points can coexist, and do I believe.
Also yeah Juanelric, Patrick Bateman is one of the go to characters for people that are annoying assholes.
