I've watch the clip. And I have to admit it is kind of yuri-ish but if that's all you got then I have to stand by my statement.

^ there was much more in the original anime. them dancing together, always being together, one checking out the other's butt. Plus, well, the finale of the first season, after Jupiter dies, Mercury literally slaps the shit out of Moon, then goes on a suicide mission, killing herself but taking out the illusion abilities of the enemy.

Well it has been more than 20 years since I saw Sailor Moon. Plus it was the Cartoon Network edit. Still I did a search for AMI and Makato on YouTube and the dance scene was pretty much all that came up.

^ Shipping isn't always logical. People have shipped characters for way less than just dancing.

^People ship characters that aren't even from the same series.
Good point Snapdragon beans and BlueDsc. Still it's always disappointing when you see a cute pairing that makes you interested in a series, just to find out the pairing only exists in the minds of the fans.
I continue to lobby for a Canon couple tag.

^ Alas, most shipping is like that.
Most of the art here wouldn't have the Canon Couple tag either lol.

There aren't canon lesbian moments between them, but in the 90s anime, there were plenty of subtexts. Ami blushes for Makoto a LOT of times. And Jupiter's infamous stare at Mercury's butt when she tripped. And the dance scene. And the fact that they are often paired together. And they have a canon song when they have a sleepover, just the two of them, holding hands and talking about their feelings and fears.
So, no, they are not a canon couple. But I've seen ship sailing with not even half of what they have. They are basically Haruka/Michiru in training.

Cute

These two get paired a lot. I don't remember anything in the canon that really suggests the pairing though.
