In JP Goldmary touch Etie muscules and then Etie touch her(s). They both wants to have body like the other one have (Etie wanted to be "bigger" and Goldmary to be stronger).
EN translation changed to to them touching each other hands.
Not the first time Fire Emblem EN translation change stuff to be more "tame". AFAIK Edel and F!Byleth in JP outright stated to get married in Crimson after S-Rank. EN changed it to them "always being together".

They really put money and effort into making an edit like that? Is this for outside the US? If not, have they not seen the state of US Culture right now? It being a dumpster fire or not, I doubt something like this would get flagged there.

^ I mean a lot of American/English speaking weebs are people who have this belief Asia is anti-lgbtq bc they are too, if some sort of media goes against that they just argue that it just be mistranslation or if they find that it is real they argue that Asia is being westernized with the sjw movement or shit like that.

Not the first time is putting it mildly. The problem lies with Nintendo Treehouse, and the puritanical nun they evidently hire to translate specifically all Fire Emblem Games for the last ten years. Starting from Awakening, every FE game has been altered by the translation team to tone down "adult" themes like sex and violence.
I do not know why Fire Emblem is singled out like this, since it seems to be the only Nintendo - only franchise that gets this systematically fucked with.

THey got burned by freaking Congressional hearings in the 1990's and never forgot. I for one, would rather have the age rating raised, but everyone is stuck chasing that PG-13 demographic.
