I have moderate hopes that the next episode will bring some possitive romantic development, or at least heal the damage that miscommunication caused between the two. Since they delayed a week and now it will be aired on Christmas.

For those that don't know, Japanese Christmas is primarily considered a romantic holiday. So, I'm hopping that will somewhat influence what the writers would want for the episode.

I dont know if it's just me, but I have not seen really any romantic interest between the two in the show. I dont know if I missed anything or I'm blind, but Suletta clearly likes the white haired boy and Miorine is just using Suletta to not be engaged with anyone who would use her for her power. Heck, the latest episode even hinted at Miorine and the long red headed boy having a past relationship, or him possibly having feelings for her.

@YuriQueen01 as much as I want you to be wrong, Gundam is usually all for building a connection to something or someone then ripping it out of you in the spirit of "war is cruel". I would really hate to see that Suletta being a useful tool is the only thing there... but that seems like that's going to be the theme for this series. Increasingly starting to buy into the clone being used by her mother for revenge theory, then she's being used by Ellan, and if she's being used by Mio that will just be a very Gundam thing.

^yuriqueen01 is definitely wrong though. I mean, you might be right that the show will really abuse Suletta and we won't get a happy ending, but that's different than saying the main couple doesn't have chemistry. Or that Suletta likes Elan! He scares her, and she turns him down for Miorine, then is heartbroken that Miorine doesn't seem to feel the same. And Miorine using Suletta is what she's scared of, what we're worried about, but it's clear from other episodes that it isn't true. At least not anymore.

@YuriQueen01 I think you might've missed the actual latest episode (10) this fanart is based on. It makes it unquestionably clear that Suletta likes Miorine over anyone else, even rejecting Elan's advances as "creepy" and going to her. And Miorine has done way too much for Suletta's sake to still play it off as using her. She created the company so she could protect her and Aerial and gave up going to Earth for the foreseeable future in the process. Shaddiq never had a chance: Miorine's greenhouse represents her heart and he was never let in. Her cutting off the unripe tomato represented Shaddiq's inability to grow close to her, as opposed to Suletta who was let in and entrusted with taking care of the tomatoes herself. That's also why Suletta was so distraught at Miorine relieving her of that task in the latest episode. Miorine still thinks Suletta considered it a chore she imposed on her, but it was actually something Suletta wanted to do for her.

^GJM's version isn't out yet (but I've long given up on trying to avoid all spoilers). Although YuriQueen01's view of things is way too pessimistic even without having seen the latest episode.

I kinda have to agree that I don't see anything romantic between Suletta and Miorine. That whole greenhouse business is about trust and relying on each other, being close. That does not have to be romantic, and I have not seen any scenes between the two that signal attraction on any level. Legend of Korra at least had the hair fidgeting and blushing scene in the restaurant. And her negative reaction to Elan I read more as a reaction to the difference between the new Elan double and the old one, not that she has/had no feelings for HapyyBirthday-Elan.
Don't get me wrong, I want to be proven wrong on this, but so far I am not getting my hopes up.

Seems more like they want to do a really slowburn route with these two even if it goes a romantic route or not. Suletta and Mio are both shit when it comes to communication which is why it's a bit harder to see some real romance between them yet, I believe we will see more of that in the second part of S1 right before or during Miorine's birthday

Also if anyone is curious this interview (https://twitter.com/zeonicscans/status/1602412631679242246?t=acW4moxdw3sUjruo0LkGFQ&s=19) with a script writer pre-episode 9 might get some interesting views

Elan was indeed Suletta's first love but hey Miorine can be her second love and only spouse!

First of all, an apology for my English... but I feel that there is a chemistry and romantic relationship between them, the only thing is that they are taking the time to build it since it is not a shoujo where they fall in love from chapter 1, we have seen how they have gone from being strangers to partners and from partners to friends, since all this leads to a construction in their relationship, we have seen how Mio has changed drastically thanks to Suletta, who was the one who showed the most disinterest in the relationship, now we have seen that She cares about going beyond just a friendship and is taking the titles that have been imposed on them seriously but personally. It is true that this anime does not give superficial things like "blushes" or "peeks" which I consider more realistic since it is not a "YURI" but a story with two characters that could (hopefully) develop a deeper relationship as it progresses.

Yes, their mutual feelings manifest in different ways compared to the shorthands we are used to. Shorthands such as blushing, stealing glances, physical closenesss, etc. It's not that their feelings are conveyed in a way that has never been done before, they're just atypical for a lesbian romance in anime. The feelings of these two are apparent from what they are willing to do for each other, and how they inspire each other to change. In addition to other bits of evidence, like the fact that they seem to take pride in being engaged to each other to a suspicious degree...

I think people are just baffled because G Witch doesn't follow the usual romance plot. Suletta is obviously serious about the marriage if ep 10 is anything to go by, and Mio keeps sacrificing her freedom to help Suletta, I think those are pretty good evidence.

Again, I'm just stating how I see things really, and people might see it differently. Some people might view their interactions between them as romantically interest or just friends. I feel like they are just getting to know each other, which is why I said I don't see any romantically interest between them and see them more like building a trust bond between the two.
