Honestly if they actually kissed during the snow scene it would've both filled me with hope and dread, hope that Chisato would actually survive, and dread that this is a major death flag. Unfortunately there was never such scene

this scene reminds me of that one scene in hibike euphonium lol the one where they totally should have kissed XD subtext is king tho imo. leaves everything open to however people wanna interpret heavy, emotional scenes.
