It's okay, Takina didn't have to do it (though she was certainly willing to) since Mika best dad came to deal with his old lover (and that bitch) and cut that crazy cultist open to extract the heart. I love that scene.

Good thing it didn't come to this but it would've been entertaining to see.

@TctyaDDK One adjustment from what I remember about the last episode, the heart was actually in the case, we didn't know since it was never opened. Yoshimatsu just put a cut on his chest to try to trick/bluff Chisato into killing him for the heart, but from my understanding he never actually put the heart inside of himself.

^ I'm pretty sure it was never confirmed that that was the case. But if it was, then man was a dick till the very end. Like fucking hell that is horrible.. guilt tripping those who loved you even after your death to the next level.. God I feel bad for Mika but thank you for killing him..

@FluffyCow: It was never confirmed either way, so based on his crazy fanatical cultist rhetorics, the comment above is how I interpreted the situation, since that would fit his established character a bit more than the other way. The case he carried around is indeed for the heart, but I think he did have the heart implanted, the case is there with the intention for Chisato to keep the heart safe from damage after he'd have her extracted it from him, until she could arrange a surgery.

@TctyaDDK Yeah that's possible, it seems like it's up for interruption. I think having the heart installed in himself is messy and a complicated process, so it would be easier and still in character to make people THINK he had the heart installed, given how manipulative he is/was. I also just feel gross thinking about the heart being in him, ripped out, then put in Chisato and how that would be a lot harder for her in theory. So that's part of why I choose to believe the heart was actually in the case the entire time myself.

Weirdly, I don't think it really mattered in the end. Whether he had it installed, even if he just put it in a "shallow" cut, no matter what happened he gets what he wants.
Even if the heart was still in the case Himegama, his femme fatale secretary, would stop anyone who tried to open it to confirm.
On top of that Yoshi had proven to be nothing but a manipulative bastard so if he's left alive he can do more harm, but him dying seems to be part of his plan so really he wins either way. Mika even seems to realize this as he pulls the trigger but they're both too far gone to stop it.
