IIRC think that was the original version of Sleeping Beauty.
In Snow White, the piece of apple was that stuck in her throat was dislodged when the prince put her in his carriage, which somehow woke her up.
The association of Snow White with the "wake her up with a kiss" came later.

Yeah it's in original Sleeping Beauty where girl was raped by a king and gave birth two times, while still sleeping.
I don't rememeber details about original Snow White.
It was weird to read "Brother's Grimm fairy tales" when you are 8 and then watch Disney "smoothed out" versions of these stories

yea but the brothers Grimm were proven to make fairy tales like way grimdark to the contemporary stuff; reason why most people know the Grimm version is cuz they wrote it down and spread it so widely
