From everything we've seen about her, Malenia actually dislikes wearing her prosthetic arm and never does so unless in immediate danger. If it's indeed made out of solid gold, it and the blade attached to it should weigh more than the rest of her body combined, which would ruin her spine faster than the Scarlet Rot, so it would make perfect sense for her to let a trusted lieutenant carry it on the march. And Finlay... well, who can blame her for being down bad for her literal goddess?
