Eroha is a bit too young (and legally still underage), but with the amount of trauma she went through recently, I wouldn't blame her if she took the glass.

^ I think it works, and suits the darker tone of original series better than the happy ending of the gacha game. By setting it to be another failed timeline of Homura, it also incorporates Magia Record anime into the original, preserving the continuity.
