you know what brother? i think, i'm addicted to love live ship now (especially YohaRiri, ChikaYou, ShioPomu, and SumiKe). Also are there actually female love livers?
And the Japanese side of the fanbase is not that far off either. Apparently the largest demographic group of LL fans there are teenage girls.

@Mendet15: Love Live started as a series for young girls I believe, kinda like Aikatsu, but a bit more mature/realistic. I remember back when the fandom barely has any male fans lol, granted it was still small back then.

Love Live was announced in and ran its fan voting from the earliest days through Dengeki G's. The magazine is primarily (though not exclusively) targeted towards adult males (or at least older teens). It absolutely was never a children-targeted franchise like Aikatsu. It has developed a good-sized female fanbase, though, and yes, even more so in the west, where its fandom is fairly even.

Fun Fact: Love Live is written by the mangaka of a certain unknown yuri manga known as Strawberry Panic

...Sorta?
To start with, Strawberry Panic started as prose, not a manga. Second, Kimino isn't particularly involved with any of the anime. I'm not really sure how much she's done at all for Nijigasaki or Superstar, either

wait seriously LL wasn't made for young girls? I watched it 4th grade and the fandom in my country was mostly girls.
@juanelric: you might not know this but children whose hormones haven't kicked in yet don't particular think too much about those actions. I just thought it was something that close friends do to each other since I also messed around and was overall touchy with my friends in elementary school.

@livingice I'm with you, brother ;)
@zokoi just found out recently that it was made for adult men. Also in my country the fandom is mostly males, Girls in my country don't like female idol. One time i introduced Love Live and Idolm@ster to my cousin (female) and she immediately reject it.
Pretty surprise there are lots of female Love livers

^ As far as the largest LL fan demographic survey goes, turns out almost half of the fans are female actually.
