Absolute sense giving that Mei loves Kiana more than anyone in this world and Elysia just likes to play dumb not to bring up the dark side of her past. Even more sense if you consider that's PE Hua who went through hell and came out alive and promised to herself not to love anyone anymore because she lost every single person she cared for 50k years ago (leaving aside Fuxi and Nuwa and Lil' Book in the current Era along with Himeko).
