@Lewdholder The light-skinned girl used her first wish to conjure up the dark-skinned girl out of thin air.
Uthia is basically Tara's slave, but she's devoted to Tara. One could say, that despite being a slave Uthia is Tara's "best friend".
In the books Tara marries a man named Gahan in The Chessmen of Mars.
