^ Yes, I was wondering if there was art of these two. Cute.

Quick question:is this anime is your typical subtext or what?

^ Probably typical subtext. Then again, it's ongoing and it's 24 episodes, but I'm not holding my breath for actual yuri romance.

^It's in some way another Sakura Quest, two anime by P.A. Works about a young woman that due to work related reasons in the big city end up away from all of that, and basically find themselves in a more peaceful and slow moving town/city.
Sakura Quest wasn't gay and I doubt this will be either. The trailers for this had some solid subtext IMO, but I unfortunately doubt they'll go anywhere with it. Probably in similar fashion to Sakura Quest there will be Yuri ship(s) and fanart.

Anime seems decent so far. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's pretty, the characters are cute, and it's got Rikako playing a former idol being bullied by marine animals.

I think my thoughts on the series echo what "Yes Cantaloupe" said. It's not groundbreaking but it's a solid enough series with nice art, enjoyable character interactions. Definitely a decent way to spend an evening.

I wouldn't say there's even subtext here. At least not yet, in the trailer it looked like but nothing sus has happened between these two yet. There's even the typical male who is in love with MC but MC is so oblivious, and obviously sometime someone will tell her (probably female best friend, who is always cheering on male with crush) "can't you see he loves you?!??!?". So no, I seriously doubt there is even going to be subtext.

@17hunter00 Yeah the trailers had some pretty heavy subtext...but the moment I saw the guys in the poster I was like "wait a minute". The show so far unfortunately has none of the subtext the trailers had. It's honestly strange how misleading the trailers were in that regard.

The 4th episode was so gay, it's almost not even subtext anymore.

What were you people expecting exactly? The first three episodes are all about them just getting to know each other so of course it's not gonna have much subtext. And now that they've gotten closer after ep3 they can start becoming Super Best Friends
It's got the miraculous 24 episodes so the pacing is able to be a bit slower. Give it time

Ah I see the 4th episode just came out today, I unfortunately haven't seen it as I've been super busy for some days now and I've only had time for a little bit of manga here and there. Before episode 4 I've seen scenes that looked gayer in the trailers, but maybe I'm mistaken. I've been very tired from the busyness.
I'll be sure to check out the 4th episode soon. The 24 episode pacing is fine and I don't mind slow burns, if I did I wouldn't have watched the entirety of Sakura Quest, it's just the 3 episodes seemed entirely tonally different than the trailers as I said. Which didn't feel like a slow pacing factor and more that the trailers were queerbaiting. I guess we'll have to see how it goes, I try not get my hopes up is all. I'd love for the series to have a cute romantic relationship between them though, and I think all or most of us can agree on that one at least haha

The guy is just a friend who’s helping Fuuka through her discovery. It’s really heartfelt and the slow pace makes it feel more real honestly. I din’t think it’s queerbaiting at all.
