That aside the [Seele] animated short is still my absolute favorite. So much love and drama and awesome animations 11/10

Bronya has like the most fucked-up backstory in HI3 plus got hit with Quanta lobotomy and paraplegy in the bargain to boot. I'd say the kid's earned it. (Kiana's definitely in the running tho.)

^ I feel like Kiana (K423), Theresa, Sin, Fu Hua, and Bronya are all tied for having traumatizing and fucked up backstories.
I mean Kiana can’t be called an actual or full human bc she was made with a mixture of dna and Honkai cells that relied on a core to be successfully to be a vessel for a Herrscher that could end the world and then being told years later that she wasn’t who she thought she was, plus having to accept all the things she was forced to do and couldn’t prevent, being responsible for the death and suffering to countless people and being the reason her own mother figure died( for now). Sin was abused, neglected, and was treated like absolute shit for her existence and the sugar on top of her miserable life is that she was being sold off to sex slavery by her step mother until she killed them. And Bronya, you already know what happened there, the orphan turned child assassin infamous for posing as a whore to kill her target amassing a kill count that that had more digits than her own age. Theresa is in a similar boat to Kiana, she was a test for Otto’s many attempts at cloning/resurrecting Kallen, but since it was a failure she ended up in a defected body that never grows all the while being at the forefront of an endless war for humanity’s survival having grin and bear the sacrifices of the war and her orders until it tries to take the last closest thing she has to an actual family from her again. Fu Hua saw the previous era’s collapse and had to witness as the people she loved and cared about slowly left her and betrayed multiple times until she became empty husk of a person trying to complete a mission that she’ll never be able to finish.
The only people that got a chance at normalcy in their lives was Mei and Himeko until shit happened.
