Thank you im@s Cinderella Girls anime for giving us Mika x Miria

@myrrhmidon the 2015 anime introduced a lot of possible couples to the fans. One of the few good things A-1 and Cloverworks did with any adaptation they made.

Also, I like how Rika is happy for them here, usually she would be surprised/jealous of them.

^Eh I think at least Wonder Egg from Clover Works has been good, and personally I enjoyed the adaptions for at least Fate/Babylonia, Bunny Girl Senpai, Slow Start. I know A-1 and Clover Works are a mixed bag though, and I know there are plenty of people currently pissed with Cloverworks for messing up Promised Neverland. Which is understandable. I know people are mixed on Horimiya since it had to cut a lot. I think with A-1 at least recently people enjoyed the Kaguya adaption.

^Wonder Egg is an original though

And I've distrusted A-1 ever since Magi. They cut a LOT from that. I also didn't like Fate Babylonia.

Also, at least as far as I can tell, Mika x Rika seems to be even more popular in Japan than Mika x Miria.

^I know Wonder Egg is an original, just an example of why I think the studio can be good.

Also well to each their own. I loved the adaption of Babylonia, it adapted a story I very much enjoy in it's entirety, and it fully realized the fights that were previously only described through visual novel format, with what I thought was great animation. It's something that gives me faith in Cloverworks, even if they have some mess ups like Promised Neverland. Fine of course if you disagree with me, as we can just agree to disagree and move on. Hopefully Cloverworks makes something you like in the future.

@FluffyCow really? I found Fate Babylonia really boring personally, especially how every new ally after the initial servant team was a) a girl and b) interested in Ritsuka.

I found the battles boring too tbh.

But to each their own. I haven't even liked most Fate series I watched (I mainly liked the culinary one, and I haven't watched Zero or Apocrypha yet)

@juanelric Not every female servant was interested in Ritsuka. Coatl is more of a big sister, Ana wasn't interested in him romantically, Gorgon wasn't, Jaguar is also more of a big sister. Also we had plenty of very relevant male characters even if not all of them were servants, for example, Leonidas, Merlin, Gilgamesh, Benkei, Enkidu counts as a dude in my eyes, and then there was spoiler. So I very much disagree with your take here.

Also the fights show up on numerous Sakuga blogs and posts for very good reason as well. Though if you're not interested in anything in the series, I can see why the fights would be boring for you.

Again I think we're better just agreeing to disagree. You found the series to be simply boring in all regards, I found it to be emotional and exciting, loved it myself. So I think we've said all that can really be said here. It sounds like from your experience that you simply don't enjoy Fate for the most part, so I hope you find a series that's more to your personal tastes and liking. Good luck!

I didn't say the animation was bad, but it didn't make up for how boring I found the series. Also, I think A-1 and CloverWorks cut too much content from the source material, which Magi and Slow Start are guilty of.

But yeah, we should agree to disagree.

And with "after the first group", I mean after Leonidas died, Ushiwaka was captured and Benkei left.

The one character I liked in that anime was Gilgamesh, which is kinda ironic since he was the one I hated the most in UBW (pretty much the only character I liked there was Lancer)

@juanelric Fair point about the animation, for me the beauty of the animation is part of why I didn't find the fights boring. Plus again it sounds like you don't like Fate in general so I'm not surprised you found the series to be boring, which you keep mentioning. Something about a person that dislikes cherry pie and keeps ordering cherry pie. If I found a 21 episode series boring I'd stop watching it after a couple-few episodes instead of watching the whole thing. That sounds like a self inflicted problem that will only make a person hate something more. Though I'm sure you'll also think future Fate anime are boring, and for some reason you'll watch those ones as well.

Also Benkei is still relevant in the story regardless of that plot point. Various male characters were still big players and relevant, the plot line about the goddesses introduced a small handful of female characters but not many, and some of them were at most big sister types. So I still don't agree with you. I also don't agree with the notion of being overly concerned about the gender of characters, the ratio of female/male, I think it's an ultimately irrelevant point and a weird thing to fixate on. So that's also why I'd rather agree to disagree with you.

I really think we've covered all conversation points, and simply won't agree with each other in the slightest. You find things like this boring, and I think they're exciting. I get it, that's fine, and again too each their own. I wish you the best, and hope you find entertainment that's more to your liking.

I did like the culinary spin-off. I also wanted to watch Learning with Manga but nobody wants to translate that

Well we can at least agree on the cooking spin-off. Also the Learning With Manga short-animation was actually translated officially some months ago, here's the Youtube Link
