I haven't actually watched the show, because heck you funimation, but I hear that this is the least subtext-y the series has ever been. I saw a clip of that scene with the feet...hug... thing, but at this point I'm so jaded that I can't get myself to hope that there's anything there beyond "some of the fans really want to see this, lets throw them a bone so we can get back to queerbaiting".
...Which is funny, because I'm usually the one to complain that fans refuse to believe there's anything there until the characters have sex on-screen.
That said, I was quite happily convinced with that Chika/Riko "I love you" scene til they just dropped it entirely.
I guess homies really do kiss their homies goodnight. And here I thought that was a meme!
