I only vaguely remember Sonic X but apparently this ship did actually get teased in the show, which is a lot more than I was expecting.

Sonic has this strange curse of being neglected with below-average games but also getting above-average like TV shows and stuff, it’s pretty unusual—I can’t think of any other series that’s like that.

Whatever you do, don't watch the 4kids dub. It butchers many scenes & almost ruins it. Especially in the later episodes.

Sonic X is painful to watch in season 1 and 2 with some alright episodes beyond the literal retelling of the game plots
and season 3 being the best by proxy as its original content
and is also sadly the best Tails development in the whole series, and actually gives the fox boy an actual love interest that didn't suck (Sorry Boom Cartoon by, no one cares about Zoeey)
