It could be isekai or even still in gensokyo - you see tech there to varying degrees in doujins- but would they really start working in what looks like an animation studio if they came to earth- or set one up in gensokyo?
Alt reality seems the most likely and easy to explain.

To be fair, this is Gensokyo, Tewi, and Reisen. I'm not convinced it would be at all unlikely for them to wind up in this situation for "reasons".
