I'm amazed Estelle even figured out how babies are made, science or not.

^ Estelle's smart. I feel like there's this misconception in the community that she's a dumb noble with zero intelligence. She's naive of the ways of the world and gives dangerous people the benefit of the doubt sometimes, but she's actually very smart and clever. Estelle's more than a surface impression.

It's actually a reference to this optional scene where the party finds an abandoned baby and Rita and Estelle take care of it for a day. Warning: sugar overload. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeEJufI8GkI

She's definitely presented that way at the start of the game, which is why I couldn't stand her at first, but there's definitely a lot more to her than initial impressions and even the early scenes show off more than you'd think, if you know what to look for.

That said, the whole thing with the vase was a bit weird, given her training.

^^ taking care of a baby together wow, the devs really let the subtext flood

It would be one thing if they just made the event and played it for comedy, but with the way Estelle dwells on it I wouldn't even call it subtext.
"Don't you think the two of us look like a mom and dad? A happy little couple!"
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"If we... if we don't end up finding his mother, we should adopt him and raise him together..."
"You're crazy, Estelle. Kid... Don't you go forgetting us once the morning comes."

Tfw you were an Xbox kid and never even knew this existed in the Definitive Edition...Thanks so much for sharing! Really made my day. I guess you can tell it's quite late in the game, given how chill Rita is when Estelle is flirting with her...

I feel like she also played it cool because she noticed the rest of the party was spying on them.

There's also a skit where Rita takes Estelle for a flight and Yuri calls them Ristelle. I swear the actual couples in that game are Yuri/Flynn, Rita/Estelle, and maybe Raven/Judith, but that one is more of a stretch than either of the others.

Also, Yuri has a male Yandere stalker because Vesperia's about as strait as Steven Universe.

Finding Ristelle was a happy accident for me. I picked up the Definitive Edition, because I love the Tales series and never played this one.

I was surprised and pleased to get walloped with the Yuri Stick.
