I personally feel like that this was more of a before Rhodes Island scenario where Texas was the old version of herself, where she was more violent and aggressive. Like, usually she doesn't smoke cigarettes at Rhodes Islands, but here

Alternatively I view this as current day, based on the scar on Lappy's eye I think so anyhow. Texas picked up her old habit of smoking because of sleeping with an old flame, and Lappy looks tame because Texas tamed her all night.
