here's how i think this happened (crack thoughts ahoy!):
- Misaka somehow ends up befriending Junko, perhaps through gekota
- Misaka invites Junko to a gekota festival (or something)
- Junko brings along her GF Misaki.
this results in the art above where Misaki is torn between finding the nearest hole to hide in and making her girlfriend happy on their semi(?)-date as she's dragged around the festival by the two gekota fans.
As to why i think Junko's the girlfriend in this? look at that grade S adults-only handholding they're doing in public.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, this is totally legit. Misaki and Junko have been gay for each other for years, and Mikoto and Misaki's enemy schtick is actually just unresolved sexual tension. :P

I dreeeam with a beautiful poliamory fanfic with this scene. I have started writing, indeed ( ꈍᴗꈍ) LOL. Misaki just can't help how much she loves those two. and Mikoto and Junko are beautiful nice friends that respect and care for each other (˘︶˘).｡*♡
