Fun fact: shaved pubes didn't become common until the mid to late nineties or so, when porn started to be filmed in higher definition and they didn't want the pubes to "cover up the details". Trends are weird like that.

^So you're saying that porn started a cultural trend of shaving pubic hair? Fascinating. I find it hilariously disturbing how porn can have that much influence over popular culture and understandings of sex/the human body. Wouldn't mind reading a source if that exists.

I shaved my pubes once, it was the worst feeling ever. Not only was I not used to not having hair down there, but when it started to grow back, it was the worst most itchy feeling ever.
Never doing that again.

Yes I'm sure in all of human history, with grooming tools being unearthed dating back before civilization itself, everyone had jungle pubes until the mid-90s.
