People's minds are irrelevant to the canon thankfully. Haru is actually quite nice and this relationship is wholesome.
Just stop drawing her with Yuu's hair color. Nakatani-sensei fixed it already.

Yuu has an ahoge and Haru has a ponytail. I know the haircolor are similar but they don't have the same hairstyle. Althought it indeed need a change of hair color, if you can't just watch the hair and make the difference, it's just that you have eyes problems.

Nakatani didn't change Haru's hair color. The picture you're talking about has a blue lighting that makes Haru's hair look darker and more red, but that's just an effect of the lighting. Haru's canon hair is still orange like in this picture. You can tell because the cover of novel 3 has Haru with orange hair.

^All recent artworks I've seen had a far darker shade than the one from the original hair color. And blue light is supposed to make orange hair look dark brown? And it doesn't affect Sayaka's hair at all? Why was Yuu's hair never affected that way in any of Nakatani's art with shade?
I'm just saying, seems like a course correction to me.

It did affect Sayaka's hair too. It's clearly darker and more red-ish looking than her real hair color. Just compare the cover for novel 3 which shows canon colors for both Sayaka and Haru to that picture. The difference is clear for both Haru AND Sayaka.

Mmm... While Sayaka's hair was affected by the shading, it wasn't really that much of a change... unlike Haru... The different lighting of the two previous images of this ship alone is not enough to explain the drastic change in Haru's colour from one image to another.

^ As someone with naturally red hair, I can tell you that there are many factors determining which color my hair appears, including humidity, lighting, and even time since I last washed it. It can actually look significantly darker in the evening when the oils from the day have accumulated. Pretty sure the previous picture was just the author trying to adjust it for a darkened room and ending up not adjusting Sayaka's enough to match. Not going to accuse Sayaka of only going out with Haru because she looks similar to Yuu, but the resemblance is striking.

Haru's hair gets more effected by the blue color cast because her hair is darker than Sayaka's and the color (orange) is complementary to blue.
In any case, this matter is settled already. The last novel was published with the original colors for Haru's hair, so that color is canon now. End of the story.
