Well at least they're the same age unlike with the (somewhat minor) Iroha/Ui ship... or the more popular Mami/Nagisa ship- although in this case it's more an age gap than incest.

Well at least with Iroha (15) and Yachiyo (19) they are both teenagers and only a four year difference compared with Mami (15) and Nagisa (9?). Although given what magical girls do in the Madoka universe even that isn't that bad.

I always believed Yachiyo being older than Iroha despite very clearly meant to be a couple is a reference to the way that you can interpret Homura as being much older than Madoka if you take the cumulative time of the loops in account, it's not an interpretation I agree with, Homura did not grow in any way during the loops and her apparent maturity was more accurately described
as deadened emotions to keep herself going, but the idea does exist.
As for MamiNagi, my main issue has always been less the gap and more that Nagisa would be too young to even have a concept of romance, sure, little kids do get crushes, but they have a different context to them than teenager crushes, this would not be an issue if Nagisa was 20 and Mami 26, which would be the same gap, but at their current ages, that gap comes with the implication of them having completely different levels of maturity.
...which is also not to say they can't care for each other, I do love me when people take the more wholesome route and have Nagisa be a little sister to Mami, it's just that even as an avid shipper, I acknowledge that not every single relationship needs to be romantic, and I do think that Mami and Nagisa should be one such case.

@EvelineClariss Iroha/Sana, Momoko/Mitama, Rena/Kaede, and Alina/Karin are also also popular pairings. There's also ships with smaller followings like Hinano/Emiri and Konoha/Hazuki.
@Veya I somewhat agree with you about your Mami/Nagisa thoughts although in the Madoka universe where young (magical) girls have to frequently fight monsters (Witches/Dopels, familiars, rumors, demons...) them forming (romantic) relationships with each other does seem helpful especially considering what can happen if too much "negative energy" builds up.

Honestly, I feel that Konoha x Hazuki is meant to be canon, the gimmick behind the Azaleas as a group is that they correspond to "nuclear family" roles while very much not being one, Konoha is the "father"/head of the family/"breadwinner", Hazuki is the "mother"/"housewife", and Ayame being the "daughter", Ayame even calls both of them "mom" in certain situations.
This dynamic is also specifically where Nanaka x Hazuki comes from, since in their first event, Hazuki goes against Konoha's wishes and contacts Nanaka as someone outside of their family, and people have equated this to cheating on your partner, which is something I personally don't agree because the analogy falls apart if you go just one degree deeper, as Hazuki was doing that for Konoha's sake as well, and you don't cheat on your partner for their sake, if anything, quite opposite...

Oh, and about megucas maturing earlier than normal girls, I do agree to an extent, but I also like to take things on a case by case basis, Iroha is a huge example of someone who matured much younger, and by the end of part 1, she becomes the political leader of Kamihama with the founding of the Kamihama Magia Union, with Yachiyo and Kanagi as her second-in-commands, which is a part of the reason I don't take issue with the age difference between her and Yachiyo, it has some nuance to it.
In the other hand, we have Felicia, who is completely a child with no signs of having even started developing towards having romantic interests, and has the dynamic with Iroha and Yachiyo of being their adoptive kid(something I believe Sana also has, and the anime highlights this dynamic by having Felicia and Sana share a bedroom, AKA, putting them on the same level), so in her case, I don't strongly ship her with anyone, though I still like to pair her with Kako with a "in the future" sense, they are both too childish to develop a relationship right now... but maybe if we could give them a year or two, so that puberty can proper kick them in the chin, they could be a thing.
Ultimately respecting who the character is, is something important to me, and I feel if you ignore who they are too much, doesn't matter how much two characters have interacted, it is just a crack ship, and while they can be fun in themselves, it is not something I would want to get invested in as I do with some other ships, so there has to be a nuance to things, and take things on a case-by-case basis like I said at the start.
