And yeah, Japanese pan comes from Portuguese pão. I was kinda surprised to find out, as a Brazilian. lol
I think the Japanese word for salad comes from Portuguese too.

^ I looked it up because I thought it came from English. But yeah according to Jisho it's from Portuguese. サラダ (sarada) I thought it came from Salad but I guess not lol
