Indeed, this is the best Homura look. Those horrid glasses and braids were too fake.
But poor Madoka, she always gets left out. For the central character she sure gets the short end of the stick a lot.

@BugDevil isnt it the other way around, since she only changed her looks and stopped using glasses thanks to magic and wanting to look cool? It was a literal "the real me starts today!" moment like when someone puts in contacts and pretends they were never a geeky dork.

^I mean, you kinda already answered yourself. Homura thinks this look is the real her. Sorry if by "too fake" you thought I meant she didnt need the glasses originally. I just believe that her old look never suited her and was clearly something she just kept from her old self.
