They usually call each other sister, but in one of the lines in the anime sub they said they were like sisters, so... idk? Could be an inaccurate sub, but who can say with anthropomorphic ships.

Calling each other sisters, doesn't mean that they are sisters(the same why if a guy calls his friend bro, doesn't mean that they are biological brothers). And no the subs weren't inaccurate, she said we are like sisters. What that means is obvious, so I don't get why people have a hard time comprehending this.
