btw how do you get a specific support pairing. is it the first person they A bond with or the last

@Azero25 Once two units hit their max rank they'll keep accruing support points between themselves. Whoever has the highest support points between each other gets paired off in the ending if they have a paired ending. Byleth's is different in that you can actually choose who they get paired with a little before the end of the game, its whoever you choose to give the ring to.

Best way to do it is make them eat toghter and sing toghter as well as keep them close in battle very simple.
