If you think about it, if Madoka had been tsundere rather than a dere dere pink plushie, the story would not have happened.
Everyone in Mitakihara would be dead if Madoka was a tsundere.
Now I'm imagining a stereotypical tsundere Madoka saving Homura in the first timeline, and it's oddly hilarious:
Madoka: S-stupid! It's not like I wanted to save you from that witch or anything!
