Anyone played 4 I'm thinking of buying it. Is there any yuri in it I have little hope of it.

@Aquwin: Not that I remember, but I never got through the entire game. It was still some of the best Harvest Moon I've played and I still recommend it on that basis, if that's a thing you're into, but the yuri is... Not really there.

RF4 gives you the option to change your character into anyone in town after you beat the 2nd story arc (I think?), including the female main protagonist so you can get married as a girl to one of the bachelorettes. That’s the closest to yuri you’ll get I reckon...

I played a lot of harvest moon and that's why I had so little hope. I'll buy it either way because I like harvest moon.

^ The only Harvest Moon game I remember that has a "proper" yuri route (4 to be exact) is the Japanese version of Harvest Moon Cute. Sadly, they took that out of the English version. Their heart events are still viewable but they won't accept the blue feather (I still don't get why Marvelous had to take that part out cries).

RF4 is okay, but not spectacular. The only thing I was disappointed by was the cast, which was largely quite forgettable. Aside from that the gameplay has only improved, and there's a ton of content in there.
There's no yuri at all, not even subtext, and if you select the female protagonist you're locked in to romancing guys (and vice versa). Like Mochinochi said, you can change your appearance after a certain point, but functionally the game treats you as what you started the game as.
All in all, it's a decent entry in the series, but you wouldn't be missing out on much if you skipped it. I'd hold off for RF5 now that we finally know it exists.
