Is the spider-kabedon a new meme? where did it originate from? who started it?

^^ I don't think it's new, I'm pretty sure I saw a few if these a couple months ago, it's just that we got two images of it in a row. Im also not sure of where it originated.

The spider-kabedon has been around for a while. Dont know where or when it first started though.

I see. I have been seeing a few of them recently (not just the ones here) so i assumed it was recent. thanks for the precision.
edit: apparently it became popular after a tweet someone made in 2012, but has been around since at least 2008. Also pixiv use the "semi-don" tag which mean "cycada-don", a teram coined by said tweet. I still prefer spider-kabedon, since Cycada climb on trees, not walls.

if you go back on the many past images, there are many parodies of the spider-kabedon on here. my favorite is Tohru spider-kabedoning on Kobayashi which mirrors this image.
