This is from a spin off mobage called Magia Record that takes place in a weird timeline where all witches have vanished from everyone except one city. The girl on the left wants to find her sister, whose existence was erased somehow, and the girl on the right is investigating "rumors", which are similar to but different from witches. The one on the right is also 19 while the other is only 14 so its a fun age gap pairing.

@blopa Not sure how one mobile game spin-off made the series "go off the rails". It's not even canon.

Yachiyo: You'll be sharing a campus with Tsuruno and me then.
I guess it's an escalator school. Also in the OP movie, you can see that she's sitting in a lecture hall, not a classroom.
